Nice idea, that'S probably what you meant but i'd leave it as it is in explorable area. Anti-spam isn't useful there and a "fall back"/"((CHARNAME)) pull" message in ctrl+v is useful to give quick messages. For teh few people that will get it: it's like having a spell trigger ready to use (accept you don't have to recast it).

An other quick and dirty way to help the spam situation...

An easy one-(right)click on the name in the chat window adds that user to an ignore list with no limitation on number of users you can have on it.

A few of the more inteligent ones migth even catch on that abusing the general chat and end up getting ignored by a majority of potential customers, isn't all that great of an idea if you're trying to do business.

The rest... Well they can scream themselves blue in the face without bothering the rest of us.
